Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Stunning views from a hip restaurant, bursting with homemade ferments and authentic warmth. The dishes were very thoughtful and interesting -- not everything was a grand slam, but I loved the focus on vegetables and the range of textures."
"This an absolutely super little bistronomique restaurant not to be missed. Excellent value for money. Not such easy access but fun to walk the slopes of the Croix Rousse and well worth it when you get there. Dishes served were tasteful, sophisticated and pretty to look at (loved the rise geranium in the sauce …). Excellent service. Will definitely return - une belle expérience ! Merci"
"With a great view of the city from the terrace and a beautiful decoration on the inside, this place has everything to seduce you. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The menu has around 10 dishes to share, most of which are vegetarian. Every product has been sourced local. Each dish we tried had an amazing flavour and the presentation was great. Big head ups for the goat cheese and the padron peppers. Only thing I would have appreciated even better is to have a more sweet dessert (it doesn’t mean they were not good, they were great! Just a matter of taste)."
"Had an amazing dinner at Semo! Sophisticated plates, exceptional products from their own field and local producers, the wine was delicious as well. Friendly staff and beautiful view on the Rhône. A must-try for a memorable dining experience!"
"Newly opened restaurant in the Croix Rousse, with stunning views and truly excellent food. I don't think my taste buds have ever been assailed by such a variety of flavours; none of them overwhelming and each one individually identifiable and enjoyable. The food is prepared fresh to order and the service was very friendly and efficient. We had an excellent local white to accompany it all. I would highly recommend and will definitely visit again."
"Absolutely fantastic find. Beautiful space with gorgeous view and attention to detail, friendly and smooth service and - most importantly of all - delicious, locally grown food in very reasonable prices! The beetroot salad with coffee (!!) was amazing. Really recommended :)"
"This is an excellent restaurant! Amazing fresh ingredients, creatively put together. It is mostly vegetarian, but the best vegetarian food I've had. The servers are so nice - they took the time to explain the whole menu in English for us. The atmosphere is calm, the restaurant is decorated perfectly, and the prices are good."
"A superb new restaurant in the croix rousse. Delightfully warm and welcoming, the food is fantastic. We ate a superb dish of smoked eel and apple with abondance mousse and a brilliant slow cooked lamb and polenta plate amongst others. Wine list is excellent (short but very reasonable) and the staff are also lovely."
